Massage & Hydrotherapy 700 Hour

Program Objectives:

Space Coast Education Center has established the following objectives for the Massage & Hydrotherapy Program:

• Prepare students to sit for the Florida State Board Exam for massage therapy.
• Provide a positive learning environment; focusing on the development of the student as a professional in the healthcare field.
• Provide a strong comprehensive curriculum to meet student interests in the field of massage therapy.
• Provide a highly qualified and caring faculty to guide students in all aspects of the profession.
• Through our connections with the medical community, our students will have the opportunity to work with referred patients with medical conditions.

This program consists of 700 classroom (clock) hours of instruction in the required subjects.  A classroom (clock) hour shall be no less than 50 minutes of any one-clock hour during which a student participates in a learning activity in the physical presence of a member of the faculty of the school.  This program prepares the student for an entry-level position in the field of Massage Therapy. 

Program Description:

Effective and comprehensive training in Massage Therapy, with an emphasis on Hydrotherapy, Florida Massage Law, Sports Massage and Neuromuscular Massage. The program includes a comprehensive study of Anatomy and Physiology on an advanced level for medical massage. Expanded training in specialized massage techniques and business applications.

Length of Program

Full-time: 7 months

Half-time: 12 months
