What is Face Mapping?

According to the Ayurvedic teachings, an ancient Chinese practice known as face mapping can give you a glimpse into your internal health by analyzing a facial breakout. It is believed that the location of the blemishes on your face can pinpoint potential internal health issues. Understanding your inner health, along with a daily skin care routine, may put you on a path of minimal breakouts and clearer skin. Here are the four common areas of the face and what your blemishes indicate.
Cheeks
Internally, a facial breakout in the chin area could signal lung, liver, stomach issues or stress. Using dirty makeup brushes or sleeping on an unwashed pillowcase may also contribute to blemishes. Find ways to relax, such as yoga or meditation and wash cheeks regularly with your favorite skin care products.
Nose
Acne may be caused by a poor diet leading to gastrointestinal issues. An easy skin care routine to lessen breakouts includes eating healthier foods and daily massages to the nose.
Chin
Your facial breakout on the chin may be due to a kidney issue, hormone imbalance or gynecological problems. Touching your chin with dirty hands can also lead to pimples. Avoid touching your face and use skin care products to thoroughly clean your face twice a day.
Forehead
Face mapping reveals forehead breakouts could indicate digestive, liver or intestinal problems. Stress, little sleep or a poor diet could also be the cause. Along with daily skin care, get sufficient rest, drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet. Many breakouts can be caused by external factors, such as an unclean environment. Your blemishes may clear up in no time with an easy skin care routine and eat healthy foods. If you feel like there are internal health problems, see your doctor for a more thorough diagnosis.
