Many clients would love to enjoy a relaxing massage, but the experience will not be so relaxing if they have an allergic reaction to the products used. Luckily, there are hypoallergenic massage oils that you can use to increase your clientele, and provide them a relaxing experience. No matter what type of treatment the client is looking for, it is important to be able to accommodate their needs and provide them an experience full of relaxation. When the client calls to schedule an aromatherapy massage or a traditional massage therapy session with you, this is the first opportunity you have to make sure the client will have a good experience. Ask them if they have sensitive skin or a nut allergy to prepare for the session. Even though this information is given just before the appointment begins, there may be instances where you need to have custom products on hand to meet the needs of the clients.
Grape seed oil, and jojoba oils can be used for a client with nut allergies. There are many all-natural products with ingredients such as Hawaiian Kukui, jojoba oils, sunflower oils, wheat germ, cocoa butter, and shea butters just to name a few. Make sure the product you are using is also hypoallergenic and fragrance free if the client has sensitivity to many products.
Keeping hypoallergenic, fragrance free massage oil on hand can save time in your preparation for the session. You may want to consider using all-natural for all your clients looking for a massage and body works in case of the client being unaware of irritants. Always test the product on a small area of the clients skin before you begin to make sure the client has relaxing, worry-free experience.
