Supplies for a Massage Therapist
Posted on: March 9, 2012
When you are looking to become a private massage therapist, there are some basic things that you need to start up your business. Most importantly, all massage therapists need a massage table to begin their business. It is important that you get a massage table that is appropriate for the type of massage that you are performing. Be sure to check the table for strength, stability and quality of construction. The amount of foam and durability are crucial for client comfort. Some tables even come with accessories such as a variety of face and arm rests. If you plan on performing the massage while seated, it is important to have a stool that wheels around quietly and can be adjusted for height. Massage therapists also need a supply of fresh towels and robes for their clients. They usually also have a variety of oils, creams and lotions. Other optional supplies would be CDs of relaxing music and candles.
