Massage Therapy and Using Your Sixth Sense

A massage therapist is gifted with an extraordinary sense of touch. Visit a massage therapy center and the "before" and "after" effects of massage therapy are obvious. "Before" clients are visibly tense. "After" clients leave therapy relaxed and serene.

Relaxation - Mind and Body as One

For many clients who rely on massage therapy, there is an added benefit that comes directly through relaxation techniques. Trained therapists employ a variety of relaxation techniques. To choose a custom technique for each individual client often requires a sixth sense. It shouldn't be surprising that massage therapists with such extraordinary gifts of healing touch should also possess a sixth sense. Ultimately, the goal of the therapist is to bring their clients to a state of relaxation by working various parts of the body and literally de-stressing the most tense, stressed body points. Massage isn't just manipulation of body parts. Massage incorporates a seamless joining of mind and body for the ultimate relaxation experience.

Evaluating Clients' Needs

The massage therapist often needs to use their own intuition and sixth sense to uncover a client's needs during a course of massage therapy. Massage therapy has been a vehicle to induce mind and body to release physical tension and stress, as well as to reduce chronic aches and pains. The trained massage therapist can often "see" these stress points before massage begins. Perhaps, it's viewed in clients' initial posture and movement. The therapist then uses their intuition as to the best course of massage relaxation. All humans possess an intuitive nature. In massage therapy, intuition is aided by a sixth sense about each client as they appear for the first relaxation session and throughout following sessions. Massage therapy is an ancient technique that brings an overall sense of well-being.
