Many people choose to make this their full time career, but if you choose to work part time, you can choose when you want to work. Many clients tend to seek out their skin care specialist on the weekends and during the evenings when they are off work. This gives you the chance to accomplish what you want during the day.
Working with People
If you enjoy working with people, this is a great career choice. Skin care specialists deal with clients face to face on an everyday basis. You will be able to connect with your clients, learn about them, and develop a great working relationship. Human interaction is important to some and if it is important to you, this is a great career option.

One of the many rewarding aspects of this job is that you are able to boost the confidence of your clients by helping them improve their skin conditions. Your clients will come to you because they need help caring for their skin.
Disadvantages of Becoming a Skin Care Specialist
Unhappy Customers
One disadvantage to this career is that you will have to deal with an upset customer at some point in time. The best way to handle these situations is with a calm attitude. Some people do not like dealing with unhappy people, but it is part of the job and you will run into a few throughout your time.
On Your Feet
Another disadvantage to your career choice is that you may have to be on your feet longer than you would like some days. You are not always required to stand, you can typically sit down while you are working, but other times you will be on your feet, and you have to be able to do that physically.

Skin care specialists are set apart from your average random person and they have special skills that allow them to work in this field. Skin care specialists have people and communication skills. This is important because you will be dealing directly with clients.
