If your office space is not set up and designed for a calming experience, your clients may not actually get the experience they are looking for. Massage therapy businesses need to equip their space with different types of colors, seating, and lighting to create a relaxing mood that will keep clients happy and coming back. There are ways to go about setting up your massage facility to create this.
Colors
It is important to choose colors that are relaxing to your clients. Warm colors are your often go to colors and create a sense of esthetic inside your building. Colors that are bright or dark tend to bother the eyes and hinder the relaxation experience. Texture inside the paint is another great way to add depth to the walls and keep the color warm and focused. You want to try to avoid colors like red since it can excite someone and make them feel angry. The color symbolizes with frustration and anger and this is what you are trying to get away from.
Furniture
You want to make sure you have furniture in your office that is comfortable to sit on and does not hurt the body. If you have uncomfortable seating, this can cause stress on your clients’ bodies. You should make sure that your office is not over crowded with furniture either. A couch or two in the main foyer is a great way to start the relaxation process. You can hang pictures on the wall, but you should choose pictures that are soft and sensual so that you do not excite unwanted emotions.
Accessories
It is always a good idea to have candles and incense burning in your facility. Choose scents that help calm and relax the body such as lavender, chamomile, and patchouli. You should make sure that your clients are not allergic to any of the candles or scents before you begin burning them. Lighting is another thing you want to consider. You should keep the lights dimmed and turned down to create a balanced ambiance and sense of relaxation. You can purchase wall lights to help establish the look you are trying to get and refrain from using too many overhead lights, especially LEDs.
