Esthetician school can be an exciting venture. When students enroll into an esthetician school, it is important that they realize that going to this type of school is not solely going to consist of attending classroom lectures and reading textbooks. A big part of going to an esthetician school is on-the-job-training that takes place during school.

There is only so much time you can spend practicing on a mannequin head or reading textbooks. Esthetician students need to begin work on real clients in order to practice their craft. Although it may cause anxiety, students can begin their training with close supervision and a waiver signed by the client. These services are great for the client and the student. The client will get an inexpensive rate for what can normally be an expensive service. They also have peace of mind that their treatment will be supervised by the teacher. The students will get to practice their new skills on real people. They will gain valuable feedback and will learn to create relationships and rapport with the clients.
