When dealing with skin care, going natural is definitely beneficial for your skin and the environment. Many skin care products are loaded with harsh chemicals that can affect your skin health and even disrupt hormones. But natural skin care products can be hard to find. When products are labeled "natural", it doesn't necessarily mean anything. The label "natural" is not government regulated. So, if you go to the store and get a product that is labeled "all-natural" you may not actually be getting a natural product. That product could still contain formaldehyde, oxybenzone, or other chemical filters. Organic products with a USDA seal, however, are regulated and very trustworthy. When dealing with sunscreen products, look at the ingredients. Most sunscreens contain chemical filters. These are generally oxybenzone, avobenzone, and others. They can also contain fragrances which often contain urea or formaldehyde. The natural sunscreen products, however, will contain ingredients like natural oils, beeswax, and natural fragrances. There are several reputable brands for natural and organic sunscreen products. Let's take a look at a few.

Badger

Badger's sunscreens are certified organic and certified natural by the Natural Products Association. Badger sunscreens vary from SPF 15-34 and they offer different scents as well as unscented.

Earth's Best Organics

Earth's Best Organics offers a natural sunscreen that is 70% organic. This sunscreen is unscented and has a SPF of 30.

The Honest Company

The Honest Company is a reputable company as well. They offer a sunscreen that is also of SPF 30, contains no harmful chemicals, and is mineral-based. These are just a few examples of natural and organic sunscreen products. There are many more available on the market. When shopping for skin care products or sunscreen, be wary of ingredients. Go natural and reap the benefits!
