Upon graduating from an esthetician school, most graduates are eager to begin their career as an esthetician. Being a successful esthetician is not solely based on technical ability. Here are four things to do to keep your clients coming back.

1.  Be respectful of your clients. Always listen to what they have to say without judging. If they tell you they are using drug store products, do not glower at them. Not everyone can afford salon quality products.

2.  Take time to ask your clients what they hope to benefit from the appointment. Unless you are working with a regular client that you know really well, people will appreciate that you take the time to ask what they wants are.

3.  Be sure that the room where the treatment is being performed is both quiet and clean. No one wants to receive a beauty treatment in a room that looks messy or dirty. Loud noises can interrupt the treatment and make the client uncomfortable.

4.  Be knowledgeable about all products that your use or recommend. Skincare is constantly changing and estheticians should be on top of what is available and how it works.
