Even though massage therapy can potentially be a lucrative career, it takes a lot to succeed in this profession. One of the keys to succeeding in a massage therapy business is to offer good customer service. Good customer service helps a massage therapist retain their clients. It also helps them attract new clients. Your current clients will tell their family and friends about the great massage and customer service they have received. There are a number of things that you can do to improve your customer service. Below is a list of tips for providing customer service:

Create A Relaxing Atmosphere

One of the keys to offering great massage therapy customer service is to create a relaxing atmosphere. Light some aromatherapy candles in the room. Play some relaxing music. You should also provide some light refreshments for your clients while they are waiting.

Try To Provide On-Time Service

Most people hate waiting. We spend a lot of time waiting in traffic, lines at the grocery store and at the doctor's appointment. That is why they often get frustrated when they do not get service exactly when their appointment is. You should try your best to start the massage on time. This could be the thing that determines whether your client continues to see you or chooses another massage therapist.

Follow-Up With Your Clients

Every time that you have a new client, you will need to send a thank you card to him or her. Make sure that you also send a brochure that has a list of all of the services that are offered at the spa. You may also want to give them a personal phone call. A personal phone call shows you that you care about them.
