Don't Bring Your Problems and Moods to Work

It can be difficult to be a spa student, and there are going to be days when you are going to show up at the spa in a bad mood. You should keep your feelings to yourself in those times and try not to show your clients that you are upset. There are some things that you can do to help stay positive and give off a positive vibe.

You need to focus on healthy living so that you are more likely to be in a good mood when you show up at the spa. You need to be eating right, and you should give yourself time to get good sleep at night. It is a positive thing that you are always pushing yourself, but make sure that you allow yourself some time for meditation and relaxation personal health. Consider seeing a licensed massage therapist, yourself.

You will be cranky at times as a spa student, but there will also be times when you will be dealing with cranky clients. When you are offering massage therapy to someone who is cranky, do your best to stay positive. It is your job to help that person move toward wellness, and that means that you need to help them get to a good place mentally. You need to be relaxed when dealing with the person who is cranky, and you need to keep calm even if they seem to be trying to upset you. You need to talk in a soothing voice when dealing with that person, and you should also work on smiling a lot when you are around them.

Cranky feelings are everywhere, even in the spa. It is important that you know how to deal with them in yourself and in others.
