Climate – Another Element of a Great Massage
Posted on: March 23, 2012
Think about it; people would rather be massaged on a tropical island versus in an igloo. With that being said, be sure that the room that you will be performing the massage is warm. It should not be so warm that you are sweating and becoming drowsy, but instead it should be a comfortable warm. Be sure to be mindful of your clients. If you are massaging an elderly client, you may want to turn the temperature up a little because they tend to get cold more easily. Temperature during a massage does not only apply to room temperature, it also applies to the temperature of the massage therapists hands. No one wants to get a massage with someone who has freezing cold hands or uses cold lotion. Be sure to warm your hands and lotion by rubbing them together before beginning your massage.
