Best Face Forward: How to Keep Your Clients Coming Back

One of the most important aspects of having a business is gaining clientele and then keeping them. This can be one of the most difficult things to do if you are not sure how to go about doing it or you are inexperienced. Many businesses have worked hard at making sure they retain their current customers while still gaining new ones. As a basic facial and makeup specialist, you offer a product that women need. They will come to you when they need to get ready for a big day such as a wedding or a special performance. You are their go to girl and they want the best of the best. All of the training you learned at your Florida esthetician school will pay off.

So how do you go about encouraging your customers to stay your customers? If you are scratching your head wondering, you can keep racking your brain to see if you have any additional ideas but here are some tips to get you started.

Samples


Everyone loves samples and especially free samples. The keyword here is free. After your customers have come into your facility, offer them a free sample of something as they leave. This will encourage them to come back for more. Make sure the sample you are giving them are something that will benefit them. You do not want to give your customers a product that won’t work; they won’t come back.

You can simply offer them a free lotion to place on their legs after a wax or even a free sample of under eye cream after their makeup appointment with you.

Consultation


Clients feel special when you take the time to personalize something for them and when you offer them something of value. You could sit down with your clients and offer them a free consultation about their skin. This will provide them with the knowledge they need to make an informed decision and it will give you the opportunity to show yourself off as a professional.

This consultation can also include diet tips and how they can improve their overall health. Clients love information and if you present yourself as the holder of knowledge, they will return to learn more.

Discounts


Offering discounts to your customers is a great way to get them to keep coming back. Not only will you retain your current customers, you will gain many more. Everyone loves a discount off of their total bill and you can offer them something as simple as 15% off your next makeup appointment or $10 off a hair care product.

Remember, you are the expert in your field and you can counsel and offer advice to your customers. Whether your customers look to you as a professional hair removal technician or the perfect makeup specialist, you need to work on retaining them.
