One important thing that every massage therapist should do is network.  It doesn’t matter what type of massage therapist you are or where you practice your craft, networking can help to expand the number of clients you have and keep you up to date with what is going on in the industry.

There are a few ways that massage therapists can network. First, they can network with other massage therapists.  Massage therapists can network with other massage therapist at conferences that a designed specifically for massage therapists.  At these types of conferences many therapists meet and are able to speak face to face about their experiences, practices and clients.  Massage therapists can also network with massage therapy instructors.  Aspiring massage therapists should take advantage of the massage therapy instructors in their schools.  These instructors have year of experience and can help their students of find work and become more successful in their careers.  Even after graduation, massage therapy instructors are great to keep in touch with.  Finally, massage therapists can network with continuing education classes.  These classes not only keep the massage therapist up to date on the thing going on in the industry but they also put them in contact with other massage therapists that they can share things with.
