The benefits of using essential oils are truly incredible. Many naturalists have been using pure essential oils for nearly all of their health care needs for hundreds of years. Essential oils are gifts from the earth that have the power to heal many ailments from headaches to tight muscles, blisters, and burns, upset stomach, indigestion, anxiety, and the list goes on.   Essential oils can be used in many ways. They can be consumed directly; food grade pure essential oils can be ingested for internal benefits. Peppermint is a great example of this. By placing 1 drop of peppermint oil into a cup of hot water and adding a little bit of honey, you can settle your stomach, freshen your breath, and ward off heartburn!   Oils can also be applied topically, usually mixed with a carrier oil of choice, like coconut oil or olive oil, which will dilute the oils, making them safe for skin care applications and skin care treatments such as toning, moisturizing, cleansing and detoxifying the skin. Another great way to reap the benefits of using essential oils is to bathe in them; this is a great way to detoxify the body, relieve stress, cleanse your skin and discover the anti-aging products and properties of quality oils, such as lavender, tea tree, and rosemary, for starters.   There are hundreds of phenomenal skin care products and anti-aging products that contain essential oils as key ingredients. If you're looking for an all-natural, nutrient-dense line of skin care products, you can find everything from lotions to sunscreens and bugs prays to facial cleansers and aftershaves online or in a local health and wellness store.   It is, however, important to buy 100% pure essential oils, to ensure you're getting a quality product. Other things to look for are whether or not the oils are organic and food grade quality, which means that it is safe to ingest.
